p>Students at the University of Pennsylvania are recreating their campus on "Minecraft" after COVID-19 finished their course early. p>A group of UPenn students created a Minecraft server and coordinated re-creating the campus in the last two weeks of March. They've been in contact with Brown University and Columbia University students who are working on similar projects and discussed the possibility of creating similar challenges for schools.

p>Microsoft bought the block-building game "Minecraft" in 2014 for $2.5billion. It has been one of the most played games on the planet for the past 10 years. It had 112 million active players each month as of September. This number has risen to 145 million.

Some schools changed their policies after students were diagnosed with COVID-19, a virus that causes coronavirus. Others did it before the student arrived.
