p>Minecraft hopes to make it easier for players to get hold of the content created by community creators and fans.
/p>
p>Many users already build intricate worlds to explore, adventure games to play or even modify the game itself to give completely new experiences within it.
/p>
p>Now , they'll be able sell their content directly through the game itself in the brand new Minecraft Marketplace. https://controlc.com/42e9f4a14

p>Producer John Thornton told Newsbeat that the platform was designed to assist entrepreneurs in starting businesses.
/p>
p>Until now people who create adventure maps skin packs for characters, or experiences for the game haven't been allowed to sell directly to other players.
/p>
p>Only officially licensed Minecraft content could be sold that way, but it hasn't stopped some players from making a living from the game.
/p>
p>James Delaney, is founder of the group of Minecraft creators called Blockworks and has created a successful business despite the limitations.
/p>
p>The Marketplace is a good thing for him.
/p>
p>He told Newsbeat that he hopes it could be the start of a regular and steady income.
/p>
p>"In the past we've been relying on commissions to come in but you're not certain when that will happen."
/p>
p>He is the responsible person for 62 creators who work in 20 countries.
/p>
p>Their main source of income is from the creation of Minecraft-based material for educational and marketing campaigns.
/p>
p>James "got really into" making Minecraft maps with his online friends, and realized in the following years that it was feasible to earn money from it.
/p>
p>"At at least we know that there's a market for our content," he says.
/p>
p>"If it succeeds, we know that we will be able to work on a regular and stable basis."
/p>
p>"Also it's content we can decide to create, rather than being required to create which means we have creative control over it in this regards."
/p>
p>The marketplace will launch later in the year and will be accessible on Windows 10 and Pocket versions of the game.
/p>
p>This means that the majority of Minecraft players worldwide, estimated at 120 million gamers, will be able to play the game. However, console gamers won't.
/p>
p>"Our idea is to connect our players with creators," says John Thornton.
/p>
p>"On Pocket edition it can be tricky to get content onto devices, which means it's difficult for creators to show off content they want to share with the world. https://morris-craft.blogbright.net/how-minecrafts-custom-maps-are-changing

p>"By connecting creators to the marketplace , it'll make it much easier for users to find something they'd like to play with, purchase it and have it on their devices."
/p>
p>Players will have access to them for free, meaning players can still make community experiences.
/p>
p>Producers hope that people will pay more for content that is easy to locate.
/p>
p>John says, "If you want people to share your content now, you need to put it somewhere online and inform them of the location."
/p>
p>"You can use existing social networks to accomplish this, but it's more efficient if you incorporate that into the game."
/p>
p>"Players can interact with the things they want in the context of the game they enjoy."
/p>
p>He hopes that the game will allow James to start an enterprise that is successful.
/p>
p>The Minecraft team is launching the new service with nine creators from across the world to begin with.
/p>
p>The central Minecraft team will be monitoring the adventure maps, skin packs, and other experiences to ensure that they are suitable for the audience of the game.
