p>A mother-of-two has accused Apple of allowing children to spend money online after her son, who is seven, racked up a four figure bill for games.

p>Harry bought eight lots of cat food in virtual form for PS99 each on The Battle Cats game, in addition to making a variety of purchases on Minecraft for PS48.99 each, six on the popular game Among Us and smaller purchases of PS1.99.

p>Ms Smith is a Pennsylvanian on furlough, is now insisting on Apple for an additional layer of security.

p>Ms Smith claims her bank was unable to stop the payments because they were deemed as authorized. Ms Smith then requested each purchase to be individually returned online, however Apple repeatedly refused to refund her.

p>When she confronted Harry, the youngster was crying and offered to repay her by putting his money in his pocket.

p>Apple declined to comment but highlighted its 'Ask To Buy' feature which sends an email to a family member whenever an infant attempts to make a purchase.

p>The parent, or the account the account holder, is then able to approve or decline the request to prevent problems such as Ms Smith's occurring.
