p>Minecraft builders are renovating the 1.19 update's ancient cities as if they never were ruined.

/p>

p>As if the dark and gloomy world of Minecraft 1.19 wasn't enough, brave builders are re-imagining entire Minecraft 1.19's ancient cities. You know, just little bit of construction in between other projects.

/p>

p>The massive, ruined structures deep underground are quite spooky. They have broken pillars that are scattered across the darkness, covered in sculk blocks, and shriekers that summon an officer to summon you if your feet aren't in their territory.

/p>

p>Perhaps the wardens are just cranky because their homes are in disrepair. Luckily, these builders are working to bring the ancient cities back to their imagined former splendor. Many of these cities have been completely transformed with lush cave vegetation, to show that they were once real cities. Others add lore of their own and illuminate the darkness with a plethora of bright blocks. At least one of them decided to keep the atmosphere spooky. Perhaps the old cities were always risky. The most daring builders have constructed their buildings in hardcore mode, not creative. I'm not going to be caught doing this.

/p>

p>These builds use the best Minecraft shaders and texture packs to create vibrant auras. Here are some of the most innovative and stunning designs for ancient cities as well as links to the designers. As always, this is just the most recent in Minecrafting. We've also gathered some impressive desert temple designs as well as underwater bases and many more of the top Minecraft builds.

p>This restored ancient city by Unsorted Guy rolls back the dark, deep time before it was overrun by sculk and wardens. Unsorted Guy shows how he began by replacing all the sculk within the city with deepslate blocks. He also turned the ceilings into stalactites and brought tons and tons of vines from the lush caves. In addition to restoring all the structures, Unsorted Guy relocates some grass blocks and creates an aquisition, and even constructs his own version of an old city farm. This place was once a bustling place. The final building has a mountain-city feel due to all the water.

p>I'm getting massive Atlantis vibes from this reimagined city by Andyisyoda. Again, there's a ton of greenery being added to this. It's hard to believe these underground cities were gray and colorless.

/p>

p>The timelapse of the build shows Andyisyoda constructing incredible bridges over a layer of water that is dripping with vines. But don't worry, they've kept some of the spookiness intact with a lava moat surrounding the massive center portal. At the end of the day the game, they've created a complete sunken city that is surrounded by towers, huge lush greenery and walls of light.

/p>

p>As if designing an entire city from scratch wasn't difficult enough, Fixxitt412 has completed it in complete survival mode, which means there is no life after death over the course of 100 days. The construction of Fixxitt is also green , with manicured areas dotted with farms and flowers. But, they haven't removed all the sculk completely, which feels nice.

/p>

p>The structure has a magical feeling to it, with lots and of light and stained-glass emanating from copper conduits located at the top of the central portal. They even have houses for the villagers to live in the deep darkness. I'm wondering how long they'll last.

/p>

p>Another lush subterranean city was built by RandomGgames (opens in new tab) and OceanManRulesZaWardo. This one is more of an overgrown style perhaps even as abandoned as the old cities are. It has a lot of leaves, vines, and classic glowstone blocks to illuminate it, much like other gorgeous green structures. The two seem to have removed all sculk from the area and replaced it with wood walkways, deepslate arches, and other landscaping elements.

/p>

p>This "build" is actually just two screenshots (opens in a new tab) but not a fully fleshed-out undercity, but it's a dang good image that I couldn't help to share it with everyone else in the room.

/p>

p>This is the exact opposite of all these calming, green recreations of the old city. If Seggie ever did a full-on investigation of this, I have no doubt it would end up looking like an even more frightening place than Nether's fortress. The skull archway and blue flames are extremely threatening.

/p>

p>This is not a Minecraft build. This is an actual Lego set design that is based on the ancient cities created by Veyniac540 (opens in new tab). It's very cool. https://strongcraft.org/ They've even put together the construction instructions and list of parts in case you would like to build it yourself (opens in new tab). After you're done playing Minecraft, there are parts and instructions to help you.
