p>The Illegal Architecture was designed by a whopping 140 people, who were brought together by the Minecraft Architects Project, a Japanese group. Dambo-Ru, the organizer, says they realised the moment they started that this would result in "organised chaos." https://www.click4r.com/posts/g/6001824/did-i-not-mention-that-the-boys-are-12-years-old Instead of fighting this they decided to design the theme of the build accordingly. "As many people who were not acquainted with one another were taking part in the event, we decided that the theme should allow for people to build in various styles of architecture, yet let the building be integrated as one art." For this they decided that illegal architecture was perfect.

p>The organizers of the event didn't want to restrict the creativity of anyone and did not "decide on a detailed plan," Dambo-Ru tells me. "Each participant built as they liked." The event were live-streamed, and the management team used this to show off the gaps that needed to be filled, though "some skilled people helped fill in gaps naturally by mixing styles of building" independently.
