p>Highways are huge, black surfaces that absorb plenty of sunlight. It makes more sense to have them solar-powered. Designer Daan Roosegaarde had this idea and it's now a reality. Heijmans Infrastructure and Roosegaarde teamed together to install solar-powered glowing lines along a Dutch highway. The test was a huge success and will soon expand to other parts of the country. Masdar is also building a 50 megawatt windfarm for the Sultanate of Oman. It will be the largest in the Gulf states region. The wind farm will generate enough clean energy to provide power to 16,000 homes and stop 110,000 tonnes (121.254 tons) of carbon dioxide being burned annually. https://www.click4r.com/posts/g/5982659/minecraft-october-updates-are-big-news-for-both-vr-and-tweakers In the UK, Primrose Solar is teaming up with Solarcentury to construct a 48 megawatt solar farm in Portsmouth. p>3D printing holds a lot of promise for the design world, but it also presents some issues for law enforcement officials, because it can allow users to make their own guns at home. A 28-year-old Japanese man became the first person to be sent to jail for 3D printing after being found guilty of making two guns at home and distributing the video of others on how to make the same. And Inhabitat was on the scene when New York City held its first ever getgeeked conference this week. From 3D printing pens to tablets with their own built-in projectors, take a look at some of the most useful tech innovations displayed.

p>In other places 3D printing is established in the fields of aerospace and medical technologies however, it's only beginning to emerge as an option for construction. The World's Advanced Saving Project presented a portable 3D printer which can build homes out of clay, mud, and fibers at Maker Faire Rome. The group plans to make the technology available to the most remote regions of the globe. In other green-friendly architecture developments, design duo Micaela Colella and Maurizio Barberio have created plans for a prefabricated wooden house with an innovative steel foundation that can be completely recycled, and French designer Philippe Starck recently teamed up with the manufacturer of prefabricated homes Riko to design a new wind- and solar-powered home. The house that is two stories tall, produces 50% more energy than it uses.
