p>In other places 3D printing is established in the fields of aerospace and medical technologies however, it's only beginning to emerge as an option for construction. The World's Advanced Saving Project presented a portable 3D printer which can build homes out of clay, mud, and fibers at Maker Faire Rome. In other green-friendly architecture developments, design duo Micaela Colella and Maurizio Barberio have created plans for a prefabricated wooden house with an innovative steel foundation that can be completely recycled, and French designer Philippe Starck recently teamed up with the manufacturer of prefabricated homes Riko to design a new wind- and solar-powered home. The house that is two stories tall, produces 50% more energy than it uses.
