p>Minecraft is such a cult phenomenon that it was supposed to have its own convention of three days in September with interactive exhibits co-op and competitive gaming live entertainment, panels and merchandise. Tickets to the first Minecraft Festival in Orlando were scheduled to go on sale this week. ReedPop also hosts New York Comic Con (NYC) and San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), announced that the convention was postponed for a full year due to the coronavirus epidemic. https://www.easyfie.com/read-blog/1898708 While the event is months away and the issue could be cured by then, the producers, partners, and exhibitors have faced issues when it comes to planning the event and ensuring that attendees have a good time.

p>Fans won't have to be a part of Minecraft Live, though. The live streaming event will go on as planned and will highlight the most recent Minecraft news as well as behind-the-scenes look at upcoming developments.

p>This announcement is no surprise given the number of conventions and events that have been canceled or postponed because of coronavirus concerns. However, it's odd that ReedPop and Mojang Minecraft, the developer of Minecraft -- announced the convention less than a week ago, when COVID-19 was at top of mind. To their credit, though it was a wise decision to pull the event before tickets went to sale and people had booked travel arrangements. Many headaches could have been avoided by acting preemptively.
