p>The Museum of London has produced the Minecraft maps to commemorate the 350th anniversary of when the fire broke out.

p>A series of mini-games allow players to navigate through the city's burning streets.

p>The second map, which will be released in the coming months, shows how the fire spread throughout the city starting with Thomas Farriner's bakery (pictured).

p>Mini games will let players relive the Great Fire. They can join fire fighters fighting the flames with traditional tools of their trade, including replicas of the 17th Century firetruck (pictured) or buckets made of leather.

p>They can then explore various terrains, including mountains, forests and caves. For a birds-eye view, players can fly up in the air.

p>Players are now able to experience virtual reality, thanks to the game launching for the Oculus Rift.

p>Joshua Blair, digital learning coordinator at the museum said: 'The very first map of the Great Fire 1666 series has allowed us to fully immerse players in the history and culture of London in 1666, re-creating the narrow streets, wooden buildings and iconic landmarks like St Paul's Cathedral and London Bridge to set the scene for the fire.'

p>He added: 'This new map is the place where the Great Fire story really unfolds and we hope that players enjoy getting to grips with this watershed moment in London's history in a fun and entertaining way.'

p>According to its creators the mini-games are a draw for historical figures including King Charles II, Thomas Farriner - whose bakery ignited the fire and the famous diarist Samuel Pepys, who documented the blaze.

p>The game forms part of the museum's Great Fire 1666 exhibition that will run until April 2017.

p>Players will be available to download the latest maps for PC and Mac starting on the 2nd of September.
