p>The jailing of an IRA man in Germany as well as racist attacks against Syrian refugees in Belfast and a snowman who was a terrorist feature in the news on Thursday.

/p>

p>The front pages of the Irish News, Daily Mirror, Belfast Telegraph, and News Letter all feature Declan O'Neill who is one of the Belfast doctor from Belfast.

/p>

p>At the weekend, Anne O'Neill, 51, was charged with murdering her son, Mr O'Neill.

/p>

p>Mrs O'Neill was killed at her parents' house in south Belfast's Finaghy area.

/p>

p>Three papers show photographs of Mr O'Neill smiling with the woman he's accused for murdering.

/p>

p>The main story in the Irish News is a plea from a family that fled war-ravaged Syria four years ago for anti-racist attacks to end.

/p>

p>Nabeha Arnous and her husband, Feras, who have four daughters, say that their home on Iris Street off the Springfield Road has been targeted by bottle and stone throwing teenagers over the past eight months.

/p>

p>Mrs Arnous says that young people came into the house at least once to shout insults. On Friday night, stones were thrown at the house.

/p>

p>"I would suggest that you don't hurt anyone. She asks for an immediate end to the violence.

/p>

p>"Germany can jail IRA men, so why can't we" is the headline on the front page of the News Letter.

p>Doug Beattie, Ulster Unionist MLA was reacting to the four-year prison sentence handed to James Anthony Oliver Corry for a 1996 mortar attack at a UK military barracks.

/p>

p>Mr Beattie described himself "staggered" and "astounded" by the "scandalous" sentence, but congratulated the German government for being able to persevere in seeking justice through courts.

/p>

p>He suggested that the British government should follow suit and stop being weak.

/p>

p>The pace of the planning process in Belfast is reflected to the Belfast Telegraph.

p>However, the posters displayed in a facility used by groups of dissident republicans in Londonderry - and pictured in the Belfast Telegraph - have been labeled "obscene" by a DUP MP.

p>A snowman armed with a rocket launcher and the message "wishing you an explosive Christmas" is visible in the windows of Junior McDaid House in the city in which the Irish Republican Prisoners Welfare Association is headquartered.

p>Gregory Campbell, DUP's Gregory Campbell says to the paper that the majority of people see Christmas as a holiday for families and republicans are trying to make it synonymous with terrorism.

p>The Irish News and Daily Mirror both have reports that Hazel Stewart, a double murderer, has been ordered by the High Court to return insurance funds she claimed after she killed her husband.

p>The move, which will see her family's current house sold, comes following an investigation by the National Crime Agency.

p>Rarely does a week go by without another auction showcasing Titanic memorabilia from the Titanic. But, very few auctions showcase the iceberg that led to the tragedy.
