p>Developers have announced that Isle of Man's "largest single investment" will be a camp site for holiday camping transformed into an e-gaming company's headquarters.

/p>

p>Proposals to build new offices, accommodation for staff, and facilities for King Gaming (KG) were created for the former Cunningham's Camp site.

/p>

p>Its backers have not given a cost for the project, but have said it would provide "significant" job opportunities.

/p>

p>John Lee, director of KG, stated that the new campus will be a "unique development."

/p>

p>The plans for the complex, that would span just two acres (0.8 hectares) were developed by Manx firms Excel Group and Bell Burton Associates (BBA), along with Dutch designers HofmanDujardin.

/p>

p>It would include a vast office block with two buildings for staff, collaborative work areas, and landscaped parkland surrounding the site. The holiday camp was shut down in World War Two and has been abandoned since then.

/p>

p>Cunningham's Camp was first opened in the early 20th century. It served as an internment camp during World War One, and as a base for Royal Navy training during World War Two. After that, it was sold to the general public during the postwar period.

/p>

p>A spokesperson for the developers said the scheme could "create more than 300 jobs" and was the "largest single private investment on the Isle of Man". https://notes.io/qd8Ne </p>

p>Brian Butler, BBA, stated that local professionals worked together in the design of the "fantastic project", which, if approved by the board, would "provide significant investment".

/p>

p>He added that work will begin "immediately" when the plans are approved.
