p>We haven't seen much of Minecraft Earth in a while. It's an augmented reality version of Mojang's game that turns the world into a playground full of your pixel-perfect creations. The company promised that an alpha version of the game would be available this summer. Now, along with a new trailer of the game, the company claims it will launch on iOS in the coming two weeks. Android will follow "soon thereafter."

p>After experiencing live gameplay at WWDC last month, the announcement of iOS-first isn't a surprise. The trailer offers more details about the game. However, it's worth looking at the Apple demo to see the game's features and if you have any queries.

p>To be one of the first players to gain access, you'll have to sign up for the free game right here (you'll require a device running at minimum iOS 10 or Android 7 to participate, according to the FAQ). Access to the game is limited while they work out the load on the servers of the game but you'll need to be active to stay in it -- if you do not play for seven consecutive days, another player will be able to claim your slot. You'll require an account on Microsoft or Xbox Live account to register and once you've registered, there's nothing to do other than wait and prepare to build.
