p>Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney says that Epic Games will not limit the distribution or sale of games with NFTs. Sweeney's comments follow an announcement from Minecraft developer Mojang that outlined the company's position to not permit blockchain technologies or NFTs in Minecraft.

p>One fan reached out to Sweeney via Twitter to inquire if Epic Games would adopt a similar position to Mojang. However, Sweeney replied in the negative. http://clausjury1.jigsy.com/entries/general/Week-40-Bath </p>

p>"Developers are free to choose how they build their games, and you're free to choose whether or not to play them," he says. "I believe that stores and operating system manufacturers shouldn't be trying to dictate their views to others. We won't.

p>Sweeney's remarks were addressed by another user who asked what is the difference between this and Epic Games' policy against anti-segregation and hateful content. https://uchatoo.com/post/36419_https-best-minecraft-servers-xyz-what-is-the-minecraft-grindstone-recipe-here-03.html Sweeney explained that the distinction is due to "editorial and brand judgements," and believes Epic chooses "to draw the line at acceptable to mainstream norms."

p>Some users on the PC gaming subreddit have expressed displeasure with Sweeney's position, pointing out that the Epic CEO has previously spoken out strongly against NFTs. In September 2021, Sweeney publicly posted a copy of his email response in a Twitter reply, which reads "We don't want to touch NFTs because the entire field is involved in an incredibly complex mix of scams, interesting foundations of decentralised technology, as well as scams."

p>Now Sweeney is open about his belief that developers using the Epic Game store should have the choice to pursue such integrations if they wish however. In a follow-up tweet Sweney stated that Cryptography is a complex field.
