p>Minecraft players can change their name in the game soon the development studio Mojang has announced. The process is set to go live on February 4 and appears to be quite simple once the name-changing system is in place, players will be able to change their game's name by login to their account. Any name that isn't currently used by another player will still be available. However players will have to wait for 30 days before they can change it again.

p>If you're worried about someone else stealing your name while you wait 30 days before returning to it do not be afraid: it takes 37 days for an old name to become available for another. If you wanted to change your name to "MinecraftMasta", we wouldn't have the option of taking MinecraftMasta before you had a chance of getting it back. You aren't able to change your character or inventory status by changing your name. If you are blocked by someone, you won't be able to get around the block.

p>Mojang also announced that Minecraft: Pocket Edition has sold more than 30,000,000 copies to date. Pocket Edition sold 21 million copies in April before being extended to Windows Phone users in December. Mojang didn't share the number of new sales, but Mojang did say that Pocket Edition had sold 9 million more copies thanks to its launch on a new platform. https://nomad.so/ [Image: Mojang]
