p>The content creator from San Francisco who kept his identity a secret and only revealed his name in the end of the video as "Alex" gained fame after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft online in 2013. He then was able to acquire more than 10,000,000 subscribers.

p>He was diagnosed with stage four cancer in August and had spent most of the last year away from the public eye as he underwent chemotherapy.

p>Although it's not clear which type of cancer Alex had at the time Alex continued to raise money for sarcoma-related charities and announced in December that he'd had surgery to remove a tumor from his arm.

p>In a video that was uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel on the day of the release that was titled "So long nerds," his father who is not known, shared the heartbreaking announcement of his son's death with his many followers, while relaying a posthumous message of condolence from the renowned YouTube star.

p>He described his son as "the most remarkable child" and shared an audio recording of his son. He stated that if he had another hundred lives, he'd choose to be Technoblade once more because those were the most memorable times of my life.
