p>Big Data on the Farm

/p>

p>It's the world's oldest industry and one you might not think was that forward-looking - but farming is experiencing a complete data-driven revolution. From drones that provide aerial surveys of crops, to combine harvesters that precisely measure the output of each square metre, to sensors giving minute-by-minute updates on the health of animals, farmers are handling an ever-growing volume of data. We'll hear from a farmer who is adjusting to the new ways of working and our special guest is Rob Carter, the co-founder of Field Margin which aims to aid farmers in managing their data through an app for smartphones. https://stougaard-mccoy.technetbloggers.de/minecraft-igloo-igloo-clipart-pixel-igloo-pixel-transparent-free-for-download-on Also our colleagues from BBC Radio 4's Farming Today have been covering farming and technology throughout the week and will have a special report on Saturday's On Your Farm. https://koreanrabbi2.edublogs.org/2022/09/15/how-to-make-a-kitchen-in-minecraft/

p>Minecraft in the classroom

/p>

p>Since Microsoft purchased Minecraft we've heard little about its plans for the popular game of world building. But this week , the software giant announced a big expansion into education, launching an educational version of the game. Jane Wakefield, Jane's correspondent attended BETT, the UK’s largest educational technology event, in order to speak with Microsoft about the plan that allows children to master Minecraft in school and play the game at home. To log in to the education edition, schools will need an Office 365 account. We'll be asking if this is part Microsoft's strategy to challenge Google as the most popular software provider in the classroom. https://postheaven.net/trialcross4/minecraft-netherite-how-to-extract-netherite-ingots-from-ancient-debris

p>Lessons learned from an Kickstarter

/p>

p>When the Zano mini-drone crashed to earth in November of last year, Kickstarter came in for lots of criticism from backers who lost. The crowdfunding platform hired an investigative reporter to look into the reasons for the failure. Mark Harris' 13,000-word report was released this week. It's an incredibly detailed account of how to run a tech company and a warning to anyone who doesn't understand that crowdfunding isn't the same as purchasing products from Amazon. We speak to Mark Harris about his thoughts on crowdfunding as a means of bringing tech ideas to life.

p>Doom moves up a level

/p>

p>Twenty-three years after the cult game Doom was released, it still has a loyal group of players and they're celebrating this week. John Romero, one of the original developers, has released the first game in the mid-90s. He spoke to Zoe Kleinman, our reporter. He admitted that he was a bit nervous about the reaction of the community however, the majority of fans have been very positive.
