p>Minecraft developer Mojang has announced that they will be working with Telltale Games to create a new story mode for the game. Mojang declares it will be an narrative-driven Minecraft game however, they haven't provided any details on what that would look like.

p>The first episode will be released in 2015, and will be available on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. That's right. Whatever operating system you use Minecraft's story mode can work on any system.

p>Minecraft: Story Mode will be released in a series of episodes, similar to Telltale's other titles The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead. Gearbox, an outside developer, was also involved in those games. Don't be alarmed if a story mode could alter the player's perception of the Minecraft world. Mojang's statement puts the fears to rest. We're not planning to create an "official" story for Steve or explaining the world of Minecraft in depth. It will be a fun game.
