p>What is the new mob that is all-all-ay? At Minecraft Live 2021, the developers at Mojang once again gave us an array of new mobs to include in the game. The winner was the allay for collecting items.

p>The Minecraft allay mob is a little blue fairy with bat wings. If you give it an item, it will find nearby items that have been dropped of the same kind. However, as the developers mention on Twitter, it won't duplicate that item or rifle through chests for it. It's just about finding the item when it's dropped on the overworld. The allay will drop the items found near a noteblock, because it loves dancing.

p>The other options in the vote were the glare a darkness-fearing little guy voted out in the first round and the copper golem an artisan-made friend that would roam around pushing copper buttons. Of course, there's always a possibility that the winners of the vote could be added to the game later on; the Wild update has swamp features that were featured in the Minecraft Biome vote in 2019 that lost to the mountain biome. There's no way to know for sure that this will happen.
