p>I needed to update Java this morning and I was in a rush. I went through the first page of the installation wizard, not really paying attention and then remembered I ought to have looked more closely and noticed it said it would install the Ask.com app. Grrr.

p>I went through my settings for my search engine and did not enable it. The website ask.com was added, but was not set as the default search engine. That was it!

p>I'm not happy the fact that Oracle included a browser toolbar during the Java runtime installation. I wonder how many kids who installed Java to play Minecraft have this toolbar 2022-09-15 (木) 11:04:31
